The Véloscénie : 450 km of itinerary from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel

Do you know the way to go to the Normandy coast without taking the A13 ? We give you all the information you need to start your adventure!

A few steps away from the hotel is the bicycle path that will take you to the sea while crossing some unmissable sites: the Véloscénie!

The Best Western Plus Paris Saclay suggests this superb 450km itinerary linking Paris to Mont Saint-Michel. Launched in 2012, this trail dedicated to 2 wheels makes you discover the history of France by passing by several of its most beautiful monuments.

Starting from the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, the tour crosses our beautiful department of Yvelines and invites you to discover new places such as the house of Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon in Saint-Arnoult, the castle of Rambouillet as well as the magnificent landscapes of the Chevreuse valley near Jouy-en-Josas, the unavoidable castle of Versailles or that of Maintenon.

This bike tour will take you to the capital of stained glass and light, Chartres, and will take you through its cathedral. Then take a breath of fresh air by crossing the granary of France by winding the Eure. The Véloscénie will take you through the Perche and the Normandy bocage, discovering its green countryside covered with numerous villages, mills and manors, the cradle of the famous Percheron horse, the lace of Alençon, the thermal baths of Bagnoles de l'Orne, sites classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.

There is so much to say and to discover about this part of our beautiful country.

Those for whom the 450km might (obviously) scare you, you can do only certain sections.

As a reminder, our hotel is bike friendly so don't hesitate to stop by for a break, a meal or even a night.

Don't wait any longer and get on your bikes!
